“In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks” – John Muir
The best way to see more of the world around you is to park your car and head away from the crowds. Located between Rainbow Falls and the Pe Ell Trailhead along the Willapa Hills Trail, Owl and Olive is proud to be a good neighbor and friend to trail walkers, cyclists and horseback riders.
Aligned east to west, the Willapa Hills Trail runs 56 miles from Chehalis to South Bend intersecting with US Highway 101. Originally acquired by Washington State Parks from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1993, the trail roughly follows the Chehalis River to the east and the Willapa River to the west.
With ample parking for cars, horse trailers and bikes, Owl and Olive is the perfect base for a day out on the trail. Head west toward Pe Ell and on to Raymond on Willapa Bay, or east toward Rainbow Falls and the farms of the Chehalis Valley.
